Nora Haeri (she/her/hers) recently graduated from UCLA, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Affairs and Sociology. During her senior year, she completed her Capstone project with the Los Angeles Civil Rights Department, developing radio public service announcements and supporting outreach efforts to expand awareness of the Department’s programs and resources. Following her Capstone experience, Nora joined the Department as an Administrative Intern, where she currently works with the communications team to support public outreach, messaging, and departmental initiatives.
Prior to joining the Department, Nora served as a Management Intern in the City of San Fernando City Manager’s Office. In this role, she supported legislative advocacy and monitoring, developed communications materials, assisted with community engagement efforts, and worked on a variety of projects supporting City operations and public information. Through local government and civil rights service, she hopes to continue building her experience in public service, communications, and community engagement.
In her free time, Nora enjoys trying new crafts, and staying connected to her community through volunteer work.
