Behavioral Health Event: Shaping The Future of Community Safety

The City of Los Angeles continues to expand its unarmed crisis response efforts by strengthening the behavioral health workforce necessary to sustain and scale these programs.  In response to a directive from the Los Angeles City Council, LA Civil Rights hosted “Shaping the Future of Community Safety,” a virtual event promoting pathways to careers in behavioral health and unarmed response.

LA Law Day 2025

The LA Civil Rights Department hosts LA Law Day - an upward mobility event focused on demystifying career pathways through law school and into legal careers.  The purpose of these seminars is to encourage students to enter the legal profession. The 2025 program drew strong national interest, with more than 400 RSVPs and over 100 attendees participating in sessions throughout the day.

LA Law Day 2024

The LA Civil Rights Department hosted its third annual LA Law Day, an upward mobility event focused on demystifying the path to law school and legal careers to inspire, encourage, and uplift students into legal careers. The event included a panel discussion with legal trailblazers, followed by a Q&A with judges, attorneys, law students, and other legal professionals, who are eager to help you navigate the law school application process.
