LOS ANGELES - LA Civil Rights wrapped up its sixth and final Know Your Rights & Bystander Intervention training last night, training a further 25 individuals on how to report a hate crime or hate incident, the laws about safely intervening in a hate crime or hate incident, and how to address hate and discrimination at work. The October 26, 2021 Training:
Know Your Rights & Bystander Intervention Trainings began in April 2021 and continued each month through October in order to empower Angelenos with information and resources to prevent and respond to hate in our communities. The virtual trainings were hosted by LA Civil Rights, and co-hosted by the Public Works Department, Philippine American Bar Association, and the Los Angeles Police Department, and co- sponsored by:

- The Mexican American Bar Association
- Equality California
- The Anti-Defamation League
- Pilipino Workers Center
- Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Southern California
- The Japanese American Bar Association

- Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association
- Parents, Educators and Students in Action
- The Asian Pacific American Women Lawyers Association.
Each training reached out to a specific community in Los Angeles, including the LGBTQ+, Jewish, Muslim, Latinx, Filipinx communities as well as a training specifically for students, educators and parents.
