 LA leaders and organizations shaping the landscape of LGTBQIA+ advocacy, empowerment, and leadership during a Pride Month

June 3, 2023 — The Los Angeles City Council honored remarkable LA leaders and organizations shaping the landscape of  LGTBQIA+ advocacy, empowerment, and leadership during a Pride Month Special Presentation. 

Among the honorees were Oliver Luke Alpuche, Founder of DTLA Proud Festival, a vibrant celebration uplifting LGBTQIA+ visibility and inclusion in Downtown Los Angeles, and the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, also known as the LA Drag Nuns, who have dedicated decades to community outreach, activism, and unapologetic Queer excellence. Their work continues to inspire, uplift, and create lasting impact for LGBTQIA+ Angelenos and beyond.
