Leila Saebfar (she/her) is an undergraduate student at the University of Nevada, studying Criminal Justice. On campus, she works as a Commissioner of Social Justice and Policy, the President and Founder of UNR People Power, and a member of Blue Key Honors society. As a first generation American and college student, Leila cares deeply about exposing inequities minority communities experience, especially in a time of grave uncertainty, and is excited to be working with an organization dedicated to repairing these inequities. In her free time, Leila enjoys volunteering as a refugee resettlement volunteer at the Northern Nevada International center, and baking for her friends and family. Through this internship, she hopes to learn how she can dismantle discriminatory practices throughout Los Angeles, and effectively create engaging posts across the department's social media platforms.
