Cristina Rose has extensive experience in government, business, and board positions, which makes her a valuable addition to the Commission. She has previously served as the lead lobbyist for the California Department of Consumer Affairs, founded, operated and managed a successful public affairs and governmental advocacy firm, and served on two corporate boards of directors and multiple nonprofit boards.

Currently, she serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Los Angeles YMCA, The Claremont Colleges, and The Trusteeship, the Southern California Chapter of the International Women’s Forum. She is also a member of the Advisory Board for the Coro Southern California Women in Leadership program.

In the past, she has held various leadership positions on the boards of organizations such as Coro National, LA’s BEST, the American Council of Young Political Leaders, the Literacy Network, the California Journal Editorial Advisory Board, the Sacramento Women’s Campaign Fund, and the California Channel Board of Directors. She was also Vice President of the Los Angeles Environmental Quality Board.

Cristina has received several awards for her work, including the Coro Crystal Eagle Award, the Women Against Gun Violence Courageous Leader Award, the Los Angeles Business Council Advocate of the Year Award, and the California Women Legislators Trailblazer Award. She is a graduate of UCLA and is a California native.
