Cinthya Gomez (she/her) is a Graduate Fellow with the Los Angeles Civil Rights Department’s Office of Race and Equity. She is currently pursuing a Master of Public Policy at the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs, with a focus on labor and social policy. Prior to graduate school, Cinthya worked as a Paralegal at Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project in Los Angeles, where she provided legal education, advocacy support, and direct services to immigrant community members navigating complex legal systems.
As a first-generation Mexican American graduate student from Compton, CA, Cinthya brings both lived and professional experience to her commitment to advancing equity and justice. She is passionate about advancing community-led policy solutions that promote racial, economic, and immigrant justice. Through her fellowship, she is excited to support equity-centered policy work that expands access to opportunity for historically marginalized communities in Los Angeles.
