April is Second Chance Month — a time to reflect on the resilience and potential of those impacted by the justice system. In honor of this month, the LA Civil Rights Department invites you to a special screening of the award-winning documentary Daughters, followed by a powerful panel discussion.
Daughters follows young girls preparing for a daddy-daughter dance with their incarcerated fathers, offering a moving look at family, connection, and second chances.
Panelists include:
Angela Patton, Co-Director of Daughters
Rev. Joe Paul, Founder, Promise Enterprises
Karen McDaniel, Executive Director, The Place 4 Grace
Capri Maddox, Esq., Executive Director, LA Civil Rights Department (Moderator)
Presented in partnership with LA Live, Picture Motion, Brian Walker, and Mayor Karen Bass.
Join us for an evening of reflection, dialogue, and inspiration.
