The Transgender Advisory Council and the L.A. Civil Rights Department, in partnership with Councilwoman Ysabel Jurado (CD 14) and the L.A. Public Library, are pleased to announce the 2nd Annual TGI2+ Housing Resource Fair.

This event will bring together service providers, nonprofits, government partners and other interested parties to share information and strategies while also offering valuable resources, practical support, and essential information to TGI2+ individuals experiencing housing insecurity.

While homelessness is a citywide concern, TGI2+ individuals are affected at disproportionate rates. Though they make up only 0.5% of the population, they account for 2% of the unhoused in Los Angeles, and approximately 80% of those individuals are unsheltered. These figures reflect the compounding difficulties faced by trans people, and particularly trans people of color. At a time when transgender people across the country are facing increasing hostility and barriers to safety, healthcare, and housing, it is more critical than ever that we come together in solidarity to uplift and protect our communities. This resource fair aims to provide not only services and strategies but also a space of dignity, affirmation, and empowerment.
