Yvette is a second-year student at the University of Southern California, majoring in Philosophy, Politics, and Law with a minor in Education Policy. She is deeply committed to addressing educational disparities within our communities. As a first-generation college student and the daughter of immigrant parents, she has firsthand experience with the impact of unequal access to education. This personal insight fuels her passion for education equity. She has dedicated herself to this cause through various avenues, including interning with the Children's Defense Fund in the Education Equity Department. Currently, she serves as an Assistant Coordinator and mathematics and literacy tutor with ReadersPLUS. Ultimately, her goal is to attend law school and work in government to advance education equity.
