Sophia Wang (she/her) is a fourth year Public Affairs major and Geography minor at the University of California, Los Angeles from Dayton, Ohio. She completed her capstone at LA Civil Rights this previous year, focusing on supporting city commission work by developing resources and creating an interview series. At UCLA, she volunteers with the Bruin Belles Service Association, plans campus-wide events, and conducts urban planning research. Sophia’s public service mindset drives everything she does, but especially at the LA Civil Rights Department, where she hopes to expand her experience in government by uplifting marginalized communities. In her spare time, Sophia enjoys photography, concerts, and hiking with friends.
