"Often times in the streets of Los Angeles, I see graffiti everywhere. It’s colorful and bold and is just part of the culture of Los Angeles. Something else I also see is angel wings on brick and concrete walls and my mom LOVES to take photos in front of them. With that in mind, I wanted make make wings that I felt really represented the City of Los Angeles. With that I decided to include imagery of the flags of all 195 countries on each feather. When someone looks at this wing, I want them to see themselves represented, no matter where they are from. Because at the end of the day, Los Angeles is a DIVER”CITY”." -- Samantha Saenz
