LA Civil Rights Unveils New Phase of Award-Winning LA For All Initiative

WHEN: Saturday, January 25, 2025
TIME: 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM

WHERE:  BERTH 60

2451 Signal St, San Pedro, CA 90731

WHAT:
LA Civil Rights invites you to the highly anticipated unveiling of Just Say Hello — the newest phase of the award-winning LA For All campaign — at the 11th Annual Port of Los Angeles Lunar New Year Festival.

Just Say Hello is more than a greeting, it’s the evolution of LA For All: Los Angeles’ groundbreaking anti-hate campaign, which has appeared in over 10,000 locations across the city, from billboards to sanitation trucks, and illuminated iconic landmarks, including the U.S. Bank Tower, Union Station, and the LAX pylons. Designed to foster unity and action, LA For All has become part of LA’s identity, reminding us to stand up against hate and celebrate our diversity.

Now, Just Say Hello takes our mission one step further by inspiring Angelenos to connect with one another through a simple, universal gesture —  saying 'Hello'. Launching in 11 languages, this campaign reflects the city’s rich cultural mosaic and unwavering commitment to inclusivity and community.

“In these challenging times, amid increased hate crimes and a need to focus on wildfire recovery, a simple act of human connection and kindness can spark profound healing and unity among Angelenos,” said Capri Maddox, Executive Director at LA Civil Rights.

Both LA For All and Just Say Hello were designed by Masaki Koike of Phyx Design, in close collaboration with LA Civil Rights, whose creative vision ties together these initiatives into powerful movements for unity.

LA Civil Rights is proud to debut this exciting new initiative in the spirit of connection, community, and celebration at the Port of Los Angeles, LA’s gateway to the world. The festival also features cultural performances, arts and crafts, and family-friendly activities making it the perfect backdrop for this momentous unveiling.
