LA CIVIL RIGHTS AND ITS REPARATIONS ADVISORY COMMISSION TO UNVEIL FIRST LA CITY-SPONSORED REPARATIONS REPORT

WHAT: History is being made! LA Civil Rights and its Reparations Advisory Commission are releasing a report as part of a wide-ranging study on the Black experience in Los Angeles. The study, including survey responses and original historical research from California State University, Northridge, is the first City-sponsored analysis of historical and contemporary harm faced by Black Angelenos. Primarily focusing on Black Los Angeles from 1925 to today, the first-of-its-kind study will provide the basis for a future reparations proposal.

The public is invited to attend and learn about the findings of this historic report and the impact of the Black experience in Los Angeles.
