"Food culture in LA is something that has brought many different people together. LA is known for having the best aesthetically pleasing food spots, the best place to take a picture of your food and post it online, but what happens when we widen the picture and see the real LA. Having been born and raised in South Central LA, the big donut is something I’ve seen my whole life, whether it was Randy’s or an off brand donut shop, along with the liquor store and a street vendor and I’m not ashamed. These are the things that make LA home. The culture, the food, and the realness. We’re all different donuts in the same pink box." -- Nidia Guevara
