LOS ANGELES - Following idea collection in three L.A. REPAIR Zones, the LA Civil Rights Department today invited nonprofits and community-based organizations to submit proposals on turning those ideas into a reality.
Up to 12 grants totaling more than $3 million are available for programs that will serve the following three REPAIR Zones:
- Boyle Heights
- Mission Hills-Panorama City-North Hills
- Southeast Los Angeles
Proposals are due by January 20, 2023 at 5:00 PM PST. Two informational webinars will be offered on Zoom to explain L.A. REPAIR, this grant opportunity, and answer questions to assist proposers in fulfilling the minimum requirements to submit. Both webinars will cover the same information, and answers to questions will be posted to this website shortly following each session.

Following proposal development, community members in the three REPAIR Zones will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite proposal in early 2023. The proposals with the most votes will get funded. Then, six more REPAIR Zones will begin the process of submitting their ideas, including: Arleta-Pacoima, Skid Row, South Los Angeles, West Adams - Baldwin Village - Leimert Park, Westlake, and Wilmington-Harbor Gateway.
