LA Civil Rights has been celebrating LGBTQ+ Pride Month with communities across Los Angeles. With our Transgender Advisory Council, we continue to stand in unity for an #LAForAll.
- On June 1, LA Civil Rights launched this year's 2023 Pride Month campaign highlighting organizations and people in the LGBTQ+ community. Follow us on social media @lacivilrights under the hashtag #Slay4LA.
- On June 2, LA Civil Rights joined the Trans Advisory Council, Council District 11 Councilmember Traci Park, the Department of Cultural Affairs and the Los Angeles City Council in celebrating Pride Month with a Pride Exhibit on the City Hall Bridge and a presentation in City Council Chambers.
- June 3 - LA Civil Rights tabled at Sunland Valley Pride, hosted by Sunland-Tujunga Forward and Council District 7 Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez.
- June 8 - LA Civil Rights and the Commission on Civil Rights hosted its meeting and invited a guest speaker from GLSEN LA to learn more about serving LGBTQ+ youth and young adults.
- On June 11, LA Civil Rights celebrated LA Pride with city leaders and hundreds of thousands of attendees. LA Civil Rights joined the "LA City LGBTQ+ Coalition" float, featuring Council District 11 Councilmember Traci Park, the Los Angeles Fire Department and Fire Chief Kristin Crowley, Streets LA, LA Civil Rights Department, Trans Advisory Council, Trans Chorus of Los Angeles, Commissioners, and LA City Employees.
- On June 24, LA Civil Rights will join the SFV Pride parade and resource fair in Van Nuys.
