LOS ANGELES - Today, the Civil + Human Rights and Equity Department (LA Civil Rights) hosted "Derechos de Empleo y Justicia Para Trabajadores," a Spanish-language webinar on worker's rights, wage theft, and discrimination in the workplace. Watch below:

The conversation, moderated by Commission on Civil Rights Commissioner Marissa Montes, included Gina Amato of Public CounselSaul Carpeño of the Office of Wage Standards, Brenda Valle-Balderrama of the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing with special remarks from Councilmember Kevin de León.

Panelists discussed the unique challenges Latinx workers face, the current wage laws in the City of Los Angeles, and the resources available for reporting workplace harassment or wage theft, regardless of immigration status.
