Logan Villaluz is a rising junior at Loyola High School of Los Angeles with a strong commitment to social justice, civic engagement, and academic excellence. He is honored to have been selected as a 2025 intern with LA Civil Rights, an opportunity that perfectly aligns with his passion for equity and public service. Driven by a future goal of becoming a civil rights attorney and leader in public policy, Logan has actively pursued opportunities to deepen his understanding of justice and advocacy. In addition to LA Civil Rights, he was also accepted into internship programs at the Los Angeles Superior Court, the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office, and MobilizeGreen—a rare accomplishment that reflects both his dedication and his promise as a future changemaker. At Loyola, Logan is pursuing Global Scholar distinction and maintains a 3.7 GPA while enrolled in rigorous courses such as AP World History. He’s actively involved in Model UN, the school newspaper, track and cross country teams, and various service organizations, including the Service and Justice Alliance and the Filipino Club. Outside of school, Logan tutors elementary students through Reading Partners, helps expand literacy among underserved teens through The Book Truck, and has volunteered with Momentum Pediatric Network and Turn Up, a youth civic engagement initiative. Logan is inspired by the opportunity to contribute to LA Civil Rights' mission and is eager to learn from professionals who are advancing equity and justice in Los Angeles. This internship marks a major step toward his long-term goals of practicing law and pursuing a career in public leadership.
