Liliana Villa (she/her) serves as a Human Relations Advocate for the City of Los Angeles Civil + Human Rights and Equity Department. In her role, she supports the Human Relations Commission, the Commission on the Status of Women, and the Transgender Advisory Council.
Liliana was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. After receiving her Bachelor's Degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Liliana felt she needed to move back home to promote leadership and uplift her community.
With six years of experience in community based organizations and nonprofits, Liliana has provided services to many demographics. She worked with Crystal Stairs providing subsidized childcare for low-income families. At Hope of the Valley, she advocated for her clients who were faced with homelessness to find permanent housing while connecting them to resources such as emergency housing vouchers in efforts to stabilize them. Most recently, she worked as a service coordinator at Frank D. Lanterman Regional Center to connect individuals who have developmental disabilities to services that will help them live a fulfilling life. Additionally, Liliana served as a community organizer, with SBCC, in the San Fernando Valley where she promoted civil engagement, leadership and advocacy in her community, facilitated weekly meetings, and organized community events.
Liliana is ecstatic to be a part of this team and push for equity in all communities.
