Keyana Young is from Tallahassee, Florida. She currently lives in Malibu, California. She is a third-year law student at Pepperdine University’s Caruso School of Law. Prior to law school, she attained her bachelor’s degree in political science at the University of Central Florida and her master’s degree at Florida State University. Her favorite season is football season, and she enjoys watching and attending college football and NFL games. Her favorite thing to do is go to the beach. She loves being a dog mom to her 5-year old Doberman named Reign. Civil Rights law grew into an area of passion and interest to her after learning of the sacrifices my great grandparents and grandparents endured to end racial discrimination. She closely follows Civil Rights Attorney Benjamin Crump’s career as an inspiration. She’s excited to assist the City’s CHRED attorneys work to eliminate discrimination in Los Angeles.
