Policy Fellow
Amelie Wu (she/her/hers) is a fourth year student at the University of California, Los Angeles and was born and raised in LA. Pursuing a degree in Public Affairs, Amelie strives to better respond to the needs of her community and the ways in which we can uplift one another. Growing up with immigrant parents and balancing different languages at home has largely shaped her understanding of multiple identities and its impact on a city like LA.
Amelie is involved in a myriad of campus organizations that promote sustainability, arts education, and student support systems. As an intern with the LA Civil Rights Department, she hopes to gain greater experience and give back to her hometown. She previously interned at UCLA Government and Community Relations as well as the Mayor's Office of Federal Affairs and National Engagement in Washington, DC.
