Samantha Johnson is a first-year Master of Public Administration (MPA) candidate at USC
Sol Price School of Public Policy. Born and Raised in Stockton, California, Johnson is very passionate
about being an activist within her community. Johnson received her Bachelor of Arts degree in
Sociology from California State University, Stanislaus. She has displayed her activism in San Joaquin
and Stanislaus county by working with youth in the classroom and with children in the foster care
system. At her current university she serves as the president of the Black Price Society.
Upon receiving her MPA degree, Johnson plans to work with a non-profit organization that
focuses on implementing programs to help youth from underserved communities establish life skills
that will lead them to success. Johnson continues to strive to make a difference within her
community and create change within the system.
