Alan (he/him/his) is a third-year USC student double majoring in Narrative Studies and Economics. Born and raised in Chicago, Alan is a first-generation college student who understands the drastic realities of academic, economic, and social inequality. From these experiences, he believes that true change comes from representative storytelling and it shines through many of his projects.
At his university, he has worked for Human Resources and the Office of Equity, Equal Opportunity, and Title IX. He is very skilled in visual media, especially photography and video editing. He hopes to give more screen time, news headlines, and book pages to people of color.
Now living in Los Angeles—with its incredible diversity—Alan plans to foster communication across different groups. He is currently working under the communications department at LA Civil Rights and is very happy to promote equity in one of the world's most progressive cities.
