Angie Aramayo serves as a Human Relations Advocate for the LA Civil Rights Department.

Angie was born and raised in Hollywood. She is a first-generation college graduate and the oldest of two in her family. She earned a Bachelor's in Political Science and International Relations from San Francisco State University.

Angie's career began in the State as a Field Representative for Assemblymember Nazarian. She transitioned to working in the City for Mayor Garcetti as his field representative and Community Business Manager. Before joining the Department, she was the Director of Awareness and Engagement for the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment. She is dedicated to empowering the community through civic and community engagement and improving the quality of life for stakeholders. She is passionate about housing, animal welfare, and women’s issues.

When Angie is not working or volunteering, she spends time with her puppy, Shadow, whom she met while canvassing in the Valley.
