Ashley Nguyen is a sociology major at the University of Southern California studying work-gender policy and minoring in creative writing. Ashley is deeply committed to combating inequality. She's currently researching workplace gender segregation and discrimination in hopes of one day aiding workers to take legal action against employers in violation of federal civil rights statutes. As a competitor on the USC Mock Trial team, Ashley finds herself most at home sharing ideas and presenting herself in her ability to teach through storytelling whether it be by breaking down dense academic literature into digestible opinion pieces for The Daily Trojan or helping attorneys at the SD Public Defender's Office present mitigation packages before a prosecutor and judge in court. Ashley is from San Diego, CA and enjoys reading and curating playlists in her free time. She hopes to one day live in a city with great public transportation.
