Teanna Herrera is a member of the Transgender Advisory Council.
Ms. Herrera is a Latina Trans woman that initiated her transition at the age of 16, has experienced survival sex work, prison and been a victim of a hate crime. Ms. Herrera has not let her adversities get in the way of her success. She has completed her associates degree in Corrections and Administration of Justice and Liberal Arts. Currently she serves on The City of Los Angeles Transgender Advisor Council, the Los Angeles Police Department LGBT working group and is a Victims Advocate, Interventionist with St. John's Transgender Health Program.
